Shiv Sena workers take out huge rally to express support to Uddhav Thackeray

Kolhapur, Jun 24 (Dumanimail) Hundreds of Shiv Sena workers on Friday took out a massive rally from historic Dasara Chowk, to express support to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.

The party was in an aggressive mode after revolt by Shiv Sena(SS) senior leader and minister Eknath Shinde against Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray.

Former MLA and chairman of state planning commission Rajesh Khirsagar went to Mr Shinde’s camp today.

District SS workers including women workers, lead by its MP Sanjay Mandlik, district presidents Sanjay Pawar, Vijay Devne and Murlidhar Jadhav and SS district incharge Arun Dhudvadkar, gathered at Dasara Chowk and began their rally shouting slogans in support of Mr Thackeray and protested against Mr Shinde and Mr Khirsagar.

Heavy police bandobast was deployed at the resident of Mr Khirsagar in Shaniwar Peth area , from where the rally passed.

Addressing the gathering, Mr Dhudvadkar warned those betrayed SS chief Mr Thackeray, and said many such storms hit the party in past but no one is born yet to challenge the Shiv Sena .

While MP Mr Mandlik said those SS MLAs , who were with Mr Shinde in Gauhati, should take decision to accompany Mr Thackeray, after he returned to Mumbai.
