Panaji: The Shiv Sena on Friday named nine candidates for the Goa assembly elections.
The nine are Subhash Kerkar (Pernem), Jitesh Kamat (Mapusa), Vincent Pereira (Siolim), Govind Govekar (Aldona), Shailendra Velingkar (Panaji), Gurudas Gaonkar (Poriem), Devidas Gaonkar (Valpoi), Maruti Shirgaonkar (Vasco) and Aleixy Fernandes (Quepem).
The Shiv Sena has an alliance with the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), which has announced four candidates for the assembly polls. The elections are due on February 14.
