Bhopal: Rajya Sabha Member Digvijaya Singh is staging a sit-in on a road leading to Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s residence as he is adamant about meeting Mr Chouhan for discussing the issue of the Tem and Suthaliya projects’ submergence-affected people.
“I have written to the Chief Minister and the administration in this regard. The Chief Minister’s Office first informed me that an appointment has been fixed for 1115 hrs on this day but I was told on Thursday that the interaction stands cancelled owing to Mr Chouhan’s busy schedule,” Mr Singh said.
Erstwhile chief minister Singh was halted by a heavy police bandobast.
