Srinagar: Security forces launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in the Tral area of the south Kashmir district of Pulwama on Sunday, an official source said.
They said troops of troops of Rashtriya Rifles (RR), Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF launched a joint search operation in village Batnoor, Tral, in Pulwama early this morning following a tip-off about the presence of militants.
Security forces sealed all exit points and launched house-to house searches, they said adding so far no contact was established with militants. The operation was going on when the reports last came in, they said adding further details are awaited.
