Ram Mandir Trust urges VVIP people not to visit Ayodhya on Jan 22

Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust on Wednesday requested the dignitaries whoenjoy VIP status and protocolsincluding chief ministers,governors and ambassadors toavoid visiting Ayodhya onJanuary 22, the day of RamTemple consecration, as theauthorities would be busy in themega event and the trust wouldnot be able to serve them.Trust’s general secretaryChampat Rai has said that thoseenjoying protocols and VIP statusshould not plan any visit toAyodhya on the big day so thatno one faces any kind ofinconvenience during theceremony, which is likely to beattended by PM Narendra Modi.Instead, the dignitaries shouldplan their visit when the peoplefrom their state will come to thetemple. After the consecrationceremony, people from everystate of the country will visitAyodhya from January 26 toFebruary 22 to pay theirobeisance to Ram Lalla, he said.”Any such person who has aconstitutional protocol with themis requested to not to come toAyodhya on the day of ‘PranPratishtha’. Chief ministers,governors, ambassadors, andanyone who has a constitutionalprotocol with them, we will notbe able to look after them on
January 22 and localadministration will also not be ableto do that,” he told news agencyANI.The construction of the groundfloor of the Ram Mandir will becompleted by December, and theinaugural ceremony is set to takeplace on January 22 next year. Thetemple will be completed in threephases by January 2025.In an interview to ANI,chairman of Ayodhya RamMandir Construction CommitteeNripendra Misra has said that70,000-75,000 people can haveeasy darshan if the temple is openfor 12 hours. The temple has 160pillars on the ground floor andeach pillar has 25 iconographicalworks of different forms.Earlier, the trust had informedthat it has spent Rs.900 crore onthe construction of the RamTemple in Ayodhya betweenFebruary 5, 2020 and March 31,2023, and still possesses
Rs.3,000 crore in bank accounts.The temple trust appealed topeople across the country to lightlamps in front of their houses afterthe sunset on the day of theconsecration ceremony. It has alsodecided to distribute sacred grainrice (akshata), offered to the deityat the Ram Janmabhoomi, to5,00,000 villages across the countryahead of the consecration ceremony.
