Puducherry : Chief Minister N Rangaswamy on Wednesday inaugurated a new scheme to vaccinate people against COVID-19 at their residence.
It may be noted that the Puducherry health department in a bid to prevent the spread of Covid in the Union Territory and to make it a 100 percent vaccinated had initiated several steps.
It has taken steps to vaccinate several sections of people and organized three special Covid vaccination festivals. As part of it, the new scheme was inaugurated by the Chief Minister.
For the purpose, Primary Health Centers (PHCs) along with Private Medical Colleges had constituted separate teams.
Kosapalayam PHC was linked with PIMS, Lawspet PHC with Mahatma Gandhi Medical College, Mettupalayam PHC with Lakshminarayana Medical College, Reddiyarpalayam PHC with Aarupadai Veedu Medical College, Mudaliarpet PHC with Venkateswara Medical College and Muthialpet PHC with Manakula Vinayagar Medical College.
Health Secretary Dr T Arun, Director of Medical Services Dr.Mohan Kumar and other health officials participated in the function.
