PBKS takes Livingstone, CSK buys Dube

Bengaluru: England power-hitter Liam Livingstone has been sold to the Punjab Kings for Rs 11.5 crore and India all-rounder Shivam Dube with a base price of Rs 50 lakh snapped up by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for Rs 4 crore here on day-2 of the 2022 Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction. Gujarat Titans bought India all-rounder Vijay Shankar for Rs 1.4 crore and offspin-bowling all-rounder Jayant Yadav for Rs 1.7 crore. The West Indies all-rounder Odean Smith, who marked his debut in IPL auction, sold to Punjab Kings for Rs 6 crore. Lucknow Super Giants bought Krishnappa Gowtham for Rs 90 lakh, who was the most expensive uncapped player being bought by CSK in 2021 for 9.25 cr. On the other hand, New Zealand all-rounder James Neesham and England fast-bowling allrounder Chris Jordan went unsold. Dominic Drakes, who was part of CSK in 2021 edition, was sold to Gujarat Titans Rs 1.1 crore, South Africa all-rounder Marco Jansen was bought by the Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 4.2 crore.
