Paradip Port DLRs & Contract Workmen Association Submits 10-Point Charter of Demands to PPA

Paradip,: Under the new leadership of Prakash Tripathy, president, Paradip Port DLRs & Contract Workmen Association today submitted a 10-point charter of demands to the Paradip Port Authority (PPA), advocating for the rights and welfare of contractual workers. At around 9 AM, hundreds of DLRs and contract workers gathered in front of the PPA administrative main gate, raising slogans and voicing their longpending demands. In the said program, hundreds of workers, along with union leaders,
ncluding General Secretary Abhimanyu Behera, Working President Paresh Murmu,
Secretary Sarbeswar Baliar Singh, Vice President Subrat Pradhan and Ratnakar Jena,
senior DLR members Prakash Chandra Swain, Narahari Swain, Dhaneswar Sahoo, and Sumanta Kumar Swain were also present at the gate meeting. Following the gate meeting, a six-member delegation from the union, led by Prakash Tripathy, President, met with PPA Deputy Chairman Nilabhra Dasgupta. During the discussion, the delegation highlighted critical issues faced by DLRs and contract workers, seeking
immediate resolution. After an in-depth discussion, the Deputy Chairman assured the delegation of a positive response, raising hopes among the workers for a resolution to their demands.
