Pakistan’s National Assembly would be assembling on Thursday at 4 pm local time for a crucial session, in which debate on the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan will be conducted. Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif had on March 28 tabled a resolution against the Pakistan Premier. The resolution was approved for debate the very same day. According to today’s 24-point agenda of the session, the debate on no-trust motion against the Prime Minister is fourth in the order. Yesterday, an ally of the coalition government headed by Imran Khan, Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM), had joined ranks with the Opposition. This further weakened Khan’s government, making it tough for him to win the no-trust vote.
