Bhubaneswar : Odisha reported 593 new Covid 19 positive cases including 80 in the age of 0 to 18 and four fatalities during the last 24 hrs.
With the report of new cases the total covid positive cases in the state surged to 10,29,412. The number of active cases in the state now stands at 4967.
Health and Family Welfare department sources said out of the total 593 new cases while 346 cases were reported from quarantine centres 247 were local contact cases.
Khordha district reported 290 new covid cases , the highest in the state during the last 24 hours followed by Cuttack 84, Mayurbhanja 27, Puri 23 and Jagatsinghpur 22.
The total fatalities due to covid in the state climbed up to 8227 with the report of four new deaths in the last 24 hours. Khordha and Cuttack reported two deaths each in last 24 hours.
During the last 24 hours 557 covid patients have been recovered from the infection.
