NIA arrests suspected Bangladeshi JMB terrorist from Bengal’s South 24 Parganas

Kolkata : A suspected Bangladeshi JMB terrorist, identified as Abdul Mannan, has been arrested by National Investigation Agency (NIA) from a hideout in West Bengal’s South 24 Parganas district, official sources said on Wednesday.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday raided the hideout at Subhasgram and arrested the suspected Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh terrorist and seized fake Indian Aaadhaar and Voter cards from him.

The raid was conducted by the NIA after interrogating four arrested JMB terrorists, who were arrested from Haridevpur in the southern part of the city by the Special Task Force of Kolkata Police. All four JMB men are now in the custody of NIA.

The NIA would produce Abdul Mannan in a court of law in the city on Wednesday and seek his custody for further investigation.
