MLC results in Mah have shown people’s exemplary faith in Modi’s leadership: Nadda

New Delhi : Hailing party’s victory in Maharashtra Legislative council election , BJP president J P Nadda on Tuesday said this victory has shown people’s faith in the leadership and policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Taking to Twitter, JP Nadda said, “BJP’s victory in four out of six seats in Maharashtra Legislative Council elections, shows the people’s faith in the leadership, policies and plans of Prime Minister Modi ji.”

He also congratulated state leaders and party workers for the victory.

“I congratulate all the workers of the state president @ChDadaPatil ji, @Dev_Fadnavis ji and @bjp4maharashtra,” he tweeted.

On Tuesday, the BJP won four seats out six in the recently held state Legislative council election, including Nagpur and wrested the Akola –Buldhan- Washim seat from the Shiv Sena.

The Election Commission had announced the polling to six seats to the Maharashtra Legislative Council on December 10.

The two seats in the BMC ,the Shiv Sena’s leader Sunil Shinde and the BJP Rajhans Singh bagged one seat each unopposed.

In Kolhapur and Nandurbar-Dhule MLC election, the Congress and the BJP also secured one seat each unopposed.

BJP’s MLC nominee Chandrashekhar Bawankule won from Nagpur by defeating Mangesh Deshmukh, a Congress-backed independent candidate.

Meanwhile, in the Akola Buldhana Washim local constituency, BJP nominee Vasant Khandelwal defeated three term legislstor and Shiv Sena nominee Gopikishan Bajoria.

With Tuesday’s results BJP won 4 seats while Congress and Shiv Sena one each.
