Srinagar : Security forces on Wednesday busted a militant hideout and recovered war-like stores, including automatic weapons and grenades in the border town of Gurez in north Kashmir, official sources said.
On a tip-off, the Army and Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police launched a search operation in Gurez, which is surrounded by Pakistan-Occupied-Kashmir (PoK) from three sides in Bandipora district.
An underground hideout was unearthed and huge quantity of arms and ammunition, including automatic weapons, grenades and pistols were recovered. However, no arrests were made, they said, adding that further details are awaited.
