Aurangabad/Mumbai, June 12 (UNI) Maharashtra recorded 2,922 new Covid-19 cases and one death, health bulletin said on Sunday.
With the new cases, the state’s cumulative case tally has surged to 79,07,631 and the death toll is at 1,47,868.
Meanwhile, 1,392 cured patients were discharged during the day across the state, taking overall count of recoveries to 77,44,905.
The state’s recovery rate significantly came down to 97.04 per cent and fatality rate 1.86 per cent .
Presently, 14,858 active patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals, the bulletin added.
Meanwhile, 7 positive cases were reported from Latur district, 3 in Aurangabad, 2 in Osmanabad and 1 in Beed district while no new patient was reported from the rest of four districts of Marathwada region of state, the bulletin further added.
