Mahaprasad begins at Puri Gundicha Temple

Puri, : Provision of Mahaprasad  of Lord Jagannath began at Puri Gundicha temple on Sunday. Devotees can have the Mahaprasad at the Adapa Mandap till the Bahuda Yatra. According to the Shri Jagannath cult, preparation of the Mahaprasad at the Roshaghara(kitchen) inside the Jagannath temple is postponed from the Rath Yatra as the Trinity comes out from the Jagannath temple and stays almost seven days at the Adapa Mandap. During the st ay, the Mahaprasad for the deities is prepared from the Kitchen of the Shri Gundicha temple. Devotees are
allowed to have it or to take away after the Kotha Bhog is offered to Lord Jagannath and his siblings after the noon. According to the Shri J a g a n n a t h T e m p l e Administration, as many as
240 earthen ovens have been built to prepared huge quantity of Mahaprasad while the Kotha Bhog for the deities will be specially prepared in the ovens earmarked as the Kotha Bhog ovens. However, the devotees will feel the lack of the Ananda Bazaar at the Sri Gundicha temple premises to have the Mahaprasad together with theirs family and friends.
