New Delhi : India reported 3,60,960 new infections of the Novel Coronavirus and 3,293 fatalities, the highest single-day spike in cases and deaths in 24 hours since the pandemic hit, according to the data updated by the Union Health Ministry on Wednesday morning.
The fresh addition took the total tally to 1,79,97,267 while the death toll soared to 2,01,187.
India’s previous highest single-day COVID cases tally and deaths was recorded on Monday, when 3,52,991 cases and 2,812 fatalities were reported.
