IISER Berhampur Hosts Springer Nature India Research Tour Team on Campus

B e r h a m p u r :IISER Berhampurorganized an event onthe backdrop of theSpringer Nature IndiaResearch Tour in
partnership with theIndian Ministry ofEducation, Govt. ofIndia, to share insights on the “Role of Translational and Basic SciencesResearch in India” and had a focus discussion with faculty members,Research Scholars of IISER Berhampur and SpringerNature Team. Over50 participants, including students, research scholars, and faculty,
participated in this event.Prof. Ashok K Ganguli, Director IISER Berhampur delivered thewelcome address stating the importance of the research; Mr. ArendKüster, Director Academic Affairs & Mr.Ed Gerstner, Director of
Research Environment Alliances, Springer Nature, spoke on “PublishingResearch Impact”, and Dr. Nihar K Patra, Librarian, IISER Berhampurspoke on library resources and role of library on research communication.
The primary objective of this tour was to fortify the Indian researchlandscape by nurturing the talents of young researchers and creating aninclusive environment for knowledge dissemination. One of the fundamental
principles of this tour is to democratize research, fostering conversationsthat revolve around ensuring access for all and promoting SustainableDevelopment Goals (SDGs). Mr. Venkatesh Sarvasiddhi, Managing Director
of Springer Nature India, shared his comprehensive approach to promotingresearch, innovation, and knowledge-sharing across India.
