Shimla/Hamirpur : May 16 (UNI) The state of Himachal Pradesh leads all other states in vaccination drives for the eligible age groups.
Giving this information, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that a total of 21,22,894 doses have been administered to the residents of the state.
He also informed that according to the report of the Technical Group on population projections released by the Census of India in November 2019, the projected number of persons in the State of Himachal Pradesh who are above 18 years of age and eligible for the vaccination for COVID-19 is 5523000 and by inoculating 1697128 individuals, the State has covered 31% of the eligible citizens.
As per this data and the State wise progress of vaccination, the next State is Chhattisgarh which has covered 25% of the eligible population.
