Homage to martyred CRPF officer

Jagdalpur (Chhattisgarh): Tributes were paid on Sunday to CRPF Assistant Commandant Shashi Bhushan Tirkey who attained martyrdom during an exchange of fire that followed a Naxal ambush on Saturday in Bijapur district of Left-wing extremism-affected Bastar division. The deceased officer’s comrades bid him a tearful adieu during a guard of honour at the headquarters of the 168th Battalion here. Inspector General (Bastar Range) Sundarraj Pattilingam, Bastar Superintendent of Police Jitendra Singh Meena and Collector Rajat Bansal were among those present.
