A fire broke out at Amar Colony Main Market in South Delhi’s Lajpat Nagar area, Delhi Fire Service said on Tuesday. The fire department further said the fire is under control. The fire service said it received a call at around 2:40 pm regarding a fire at a shop in main market Lajpat Nagar. Immediately after getting the call, ten fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the blaze. Also, commercial shops and eateries as well as residential flats on the floors above in the area where the fire broke out. The fire was brought under control and a cooling operation was underway, they added. “Fire was brought under control and a cooling operation is underway. No casualty has been reported so far,” said Atul Garg, director, Delhi Fire Service.
