Festivals at MDRAFM showcased the Potential of OFS Officers Lit-fest focused on Odia Asmita

Bhubaneswar: Madhusudan Das Regional Academy of Financial Management hosted various festivals that saw enthusiastic participation from Odisha Financial Service Officers. 04 day long festivals included Lit-fest, sports event, Food-fest and cultural presentations. The cultural festival titled “Madhukshara” included Odissi dance, folk dance, music and drama in which participants’ exposure was highly appreciated. Likewise, the sport events involving the participants in different indoor and outdoor games were encouraging. The Food-fest brought together recipes prepared by the participants that created awareness about our rich culinary heritage and motivation for food preparing skills. It also recognized the importance of traditional ingredients and innovative ideas. The Literature festival kicked off with a lively quiz competition, testing the literary knowledge of the participating officers. This was followed by a spirited debate competition, where officers showcased their oratory skills and engaged in thoughtful discussions on various topics. The central highlight of the festival was a panel discussion on the theme “The Evolution of Narratives: from Classic to Contemporary”. The guests of the event were poet and cultural activist Sri Surya Mishra, Academician and Writer Dr. Netajee Abhinandan and Academician and Poet Dr. Saqti Mohanty. The guests contributed significantly to the discussion, offering in depth perspectives on Odia self-esteem, literary vibes, readership growth, love for the language, digital growth of Odia Literature and creative activism in order to develop and demonstrate the status of our language and literature. Sri Ashok Kumar Mohanty, Director of Academy along with senior faculty Smt. Madhusmita Behera, Smt. Chirasmita Sahoo and Smt. Shanta Mishra also participated in the discussion. The proceedings were skillfully moderated by Bhoomiparba Malla and Sitikantha Dash with Sarthak Mahapatra coordinating the event. The festival concluded with a captivating poetry session.
