Fee of one sister should be waived off if another sister is studying in the same private school: Yogi

Lucknow : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Saturday that there is a need to pay special attention to the education of the girl child.

“For this it is necessary to encourage them,” he said.

The CM said that if two sisters are studying in the same private school, the fee of one of them should be waived off. If private schools do not do this, then the concerned department should arrange the fees of one of the girl student. For this, nodal officers would be appointed at the district level,” he said.

In the scholarship distribution program organized at Lok Bhavan on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on Saturday, the CM sent scholarship to the accounts of over 1.51 lakh students of the state.

During this, he directed the officials to complete the scholarship distribution work in a mission mode to all the eligible students by November 30.

Paying tributes to Mahatma Gandhi, he said that today is the birth anniversary of two great warriors of the country. I bow to Gandhiji and Shastriji. Gandhi ji liberated the country on the strength of truth and non-violence. In 2014, the Swachh Bharat Mission was launched on October 2. It is the result of this mission that we have controlled diseases like encephalitis up to 99 percent. This disease has been controlled up to 97 percent in 38 districts of the state, he claimed.

The Chief Minister said that immediately after independence, SC, ST, OBC and minorities were considered as vote banks, but their voices were ignored in the corridors of power, but today they are getting the benefits of development. Without looking at the caste and religion of every person of the country and the state, the benefits of welfare schemes are being given to them, he said.

At the same time, Governor Patel said that Uttar Pradesh is developing rapidly under the leadership of Yogi Adityanath and the work is being done according to the thinking of PM Narendra Modi.
