Congress activists demonstrate against fuel & gas cylinder price hike in Aurangabad

The Aurangabad City and District Congress Committee on Monday organised a ‘Mehngaie Mukt Bharat Andolan’ in front of Mahatma Gandhi statue at Shahganj locality here to protest against the hike in prices of fuel and cooking gas cylinders by the BJP-led central government. Led by Rural District Congress Committee president Dr Kalyan Kale and City District Congress Committee president Mohammad Hisham Osmani, the party activists condemned the fuel price hike and raised slogans against the (Narendra) Modi government. On this occasion, the protesters paid symbolic homage to two-wheelers and cooking gas cylinders and lit wooden stoves to demonstrate public anger. Addressing the gathering, both Dr Kale and Osmani blamed the central government for its anti-people policies.
