Aurangabad, Jun 27 (Dumanimail) As part of the nationwide protest across the country by the Congress party, the district unit activists on Monday held a demonstration in front of District collector office against Agnipath scheme.
The protest led by City district Congress President Hisham Osmani among others party office bearers gathered in front of collector office and held demonstration against central government scheme Agnipath for youths, raising slogans against Modi government, seeking roll back to scheme immediately.
Mr Osmani said the ‘Agnipath’ scheme introduced by the Modi government at the Center for army recruitment is to implement a contract system in the army. It is a ploy to push the youth back into unemployment after only four years of service.
The BJP government is playing games with the future of the brave youth who dream of serving the country by enlisting in the army. He also said the government should continue existing recruitment process .
Later, the delegation handed over memorandum to collector .
