CM urges people not to fall prey to rumours, says govt keeping eye on Covid situation

Ranchi, Apr 14 (UNI) Chief Minister Hemant Soren has urged the people of the state not to fall prey to rumours and said that he is in constant touch with the officials and keeping an eye on coronavirus situation across the state.

The Chief Minister in a Facebook post wrote on Wednesday that coronavirus situation was grim in the state but just like previous year the government with its limited resources is committed to provide best Healthcare facilities and fulfill other necessary requirements to the people.

He also apologised for the problems people faced so far and assured them his government is with the people in the times of grief and happiness.

Soren urged the people to remain extremely alert and venture out of their homes only for important work and wearing masks. He said that it is important to follow all the guidelines to prevent themselves from coronavirus.

The Chief Minister requested the opposition not to create an environment of fear to settle their political scores in the state.

On Madhupur bypolls, he said like West Bengal is part of the country similarly Madhupur is also part of Jharkhand and following the directions of the Election Commission and Central Government elections are being conducted.

However, he requested the people of the state to remain indoors for the sake of their own safety and their loved ones. The Chief Minister asked the people to provide special attention to the elderly in the family.
