‘Ama Odisha, Nabin Odisha’ Scheme Launched in Puri, Nayagarh

Bhubaneswar: ChiefMinister Naveen Patnaik onFriday launched the ambidtious’Ama Odisha, Nabin Odisha’scheme in Puri and Nayagarhdistricts on the second day ofthe flagship programme thataims to promote Jagannathculture and strengthen digitalinfrastructures in the villages andgram panchayats.The Chief Minister hassanctioned Rs 134 crore for 4130projects for 268 grampanchayats of six constituenciesin Puri district and Rs 97 crorefor 2924 projects for 194 grampanchayats of four constituencies of Nayagarhdistrict under the ‘Ama Odisha,Nabin Odisha’ programme.Speaking on the occasion, theChief Minister said that Odishais the land of Jagannath culturethat spreads the message of love,peace, harmony, equality andservice.The ‘Ama Odisha, NabinOdisha’ programme will preserveJagannath culture in everyvillage. Every place of worshipwill be developed. Heritage sites
will be preserved. Thepreservation and protection ofthe cultural and heritage sites isessential for our future
generations, the CM said.He said that the building ofdigital infrastructure is anotherobjective of the scheme. The
villages will get internetconnection, science parks, skilldevelopment centres.The skill development centres
and works hub will beestablished in every village.Banking facilities will also bemade available to the villagers.The primary schools of thevillages will participate in thisprogramme, the CMemphasized. There will beprosperity from village tovillage. This is our vision forOdisha of the 21st century, theCM said.Secretary to CM (5T) VKPandian moderated the today’sprogramme.Ministers – Ranendra PratapSwain, Ashok Chandra Pandaand Tusharkanti Behera, MLAs Samir Ranjan Das, RudraPratap Maharathy andUmakanta Samantaray; and ZillaParishad President andmembers, and Sarpanchesamong others attended theprogramme in Puri district.In Nayagarh district, MLAsSatyanarayan Pradhan, RameshChandra Behera and ArunKumar Sahoo, Zilla ParishadPresident, Block Chairman,Sarpanches and common peopleattended the programme.
