Bhopal : A deputy director of the city-based All India Institute of Medical Sciences was arrested here on Saturday – by the Central Bureau of Investigation – while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 1 lakh, CBI sources said.
Dharmendra Singh was demanding Rs 2 lakh from a chemist for clearing the latter’s dues. The chemist had supplied medicines and equipment to AIIMS. Following a complaint, a trap was laid and the arrest executed in Shahpura area. The CBI team took the accused to his office and scrutinised documents.
