Bargarh : Despite efforts for a Digital India, remote areas in Bargarh and Jharsuguda face ongoing BSNL network issues. MP Pradeep Purohit recently met Union Minister for
Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia, urging immediate upgrades to the telecom
infrastructure. Purohit noted severe connectivity problems in villages like Padmapur, Paikmal, Jharbandh, Ambabhona, and Lakhana, despite some BSNL towers. Many residents struggle with mobile connectivity, crucial for communication, banking,
education, and entertainment. The MP highlighted the necessity of utilising funds from the Digital India initiative to enhance the network in these underserved areas. He stressed the urgent need for additional mobile towers or upgrades to existing infrastructure. Purohit called for serious action from the Union Minister to address the connectivity gap, emphasising that effective communication is necessary for all citizens.
