Gurdaspur : Border Security Force (BSF) recovered 8.6 kg heroin on the basis of police information from the border with Pakistan near Rosa BOP in the district Friday morning.
The price of the heroin is Rs 42.5 crore in the international market.
DSP Nanak Singh said we had received secret information that some smugglers are bringing consignments of heroin from Pakistan. We informed the officials of the 89 battalion of BSF.
BSF immediately launched a search operation in the area with the help of police and recovered a sack. On checking the sack, heroin was recovered from it.
He said investigation is being done by taking heroin in possession.
