Khordha: The final match of the Bichitrananda Memorial Cricket Tournament held at Kaipadar playground. The match played between Satyapira Sporting Club, Kaipadar and Chaudwar Cuttack. Satyapira Sporting Club won the toss and decided to bat first and scored 196 runs in scheduled 20 overs. In reply Chaudwar, Cuttack team scored 197 runs for the loss of 8 wickets and became the champion of the tournament. The Chief Guest of the occasions, Bijumahila Janta Dal, State Senior Vice-President Mrs. Basanti Mohapatra, encourage the players. She said that sports inculcate mental stability, physical fitness, concentration,
competitiveness and brotherhood among the players. Dr.Dillip Srichandan, Tapan Patra, Bipin Bihari Srichandan, among others
were present. The chief guest Mrs Mohapatra, presented the trophy and cash prize to the winning and runner-up teams. The game was managed by Gaurachandra Mishra and Pradeep Das. Assisted by Little C h a m p a t i r a y, S u r e n d r a Champati, Pramod Singh, Manoj Paikaraya and Umakant Mahapatra among others. Pankaj Barala was awarded as the Man of the Match and Little Champatiray Man of the Series.
