Bargarh : Bargarh MP Pradeep Purohit has respectfully urged the final approval and
formal declaration of a new national highway in Odisha. In his discussions with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, he emphasised the importance of the proposed Balangir-Patnagarh-HarishankarPaikamal-Nuapada highway. Mr. Purohit highlighted the pressing need for this approval, noting that the highway represents a significant
opportunity for the development of western Odisha. This proposal has long been a priority for the people of the region. It is viewed as instrumental in fostering balanced regional development and improving connectivity across diverse areas, including the
state’s eastern, western, northern, southern, and coastal parts. Enhancing connectivity through this highway is anticipated to promote tourism by linking Odisha’s vital cultural and tourist attractions. Additionally, a more robust road network in the western and southern regions is crucial for addressing various local challenges. Strengthening these
connections will improve law and order management and contribute to the area’s overall socioeconomic advancement, as Bargarh MP Pradeep Purohit articulated.
