bhubaneswar : ADB Country Director Mio Oka met Odisha’s H&UD Principal Secretary Usha Padhee at Kharavela Bhawan today to discuss sustainable mobility
and livable cities to enhance urban development. The meeting centred on developing a
comprehensive urban mobility plan aimed at fostering sustainable growth and enhancing the livability of cities across Odisha. ADB expressed its commitment to support the state’s evolving urban needs through technical assistance, knowledge sharing, and facilitation of access to the Urban Challenge Fund from the Government
of India. Both parties emphasised the importance of integrated planning, innovative financing mechanisms, and capacity building to address future urban challenges. The dialogue marks a significant step toward building inclusive, resilient, and future-ready
urban ecosystems in Odisha.
