Political parties come together to demand strong action against Sarkhel to restored Law & Order situation in Paradip

Paradip – The law and order situation in the port and industrial city of Paradip is deteriorating. Three accused were arrested in the bomb attack on the house of Paradip’s first citizen and Municipality Chairman Basant Biswal on May 30, but seven days have passed since its main accused, Jyotikant Parida (Bapu), has not been caught yet. The police seem to be unable to find any clues about the main mastermind of the incident, Arindam Sarkhel alias Bapi Sarkhel. However, anger has been expressed among the residents of the city regarding this incident.

         In this context, at 11 am on Sunday, members of some organizations, including the leadership and workers of various political parties, reached the Paradip Model ​​Police station along with hundreds of their supporters to protest. BJP Paradip unit President Subrat Pradhan, BJP leader Sarbeshwar Baliarsingh, Soleman Raju, Ullash Behera, Prakash Sahu,BJP councilor  Pratap Nayak, BJP Women’s Leader Pritirekha Nayak, BJD President Kumarbar Nayak, BJD State Vice President Sabita Mohapatra, District General Secretary Chinmay Ranjan Parida, Shankar Prasad Rout, Women’s  Leader Chapla Swain, Congress President Kedar Nath Biswal, Kujang, Paradip Regional Committee CPI leader Subash Mohapatra and Paradip Citizen Forum President Sasank Acharya, Ravindra Jena, Bibekanand Rout reached Paradip Model Police station and separately submitted their demands to ASP  Ajinkya Baburao Mane.

        According allegations, this anti-social circle aims to create an atmosphere of fear and terror in Paradip. Since the emergence of the Bapi Sarkhel in Paradip in 2000, in the past 25 years, it has been alleged that the Sarkhel has definitely played a role in all the incidents in Paradip city such as the murder of Muna Pati, the murder of Duryodhan Swain, the murder of Seways manager Mahendra Swain. Besides,these antisocials are intoxicating the youth of Paradip and committing various anti-social and criminal incidents. Apart from this, a person named Khalid Khan, who lives outside the state and sometimes in Dubai, has been hijacking the entire work of IFFCO,PICT and other industrial projects through Bapi Sarkhel and providing huge financial support to Sarkhel, alleged by Paradip Citizen Forum.

       Therefore, for the sake of law & oder situation, peace and brotherhood in the calm city of Paradip, representatives of all parties and organisations of Paradip submitted a demand letter to ASP Ajinkya Baburao, requesting him to take appropriate action.
