Kajol & Rani Mukherji get emotional during family Durga Puja celebrations

Mumbai : Actresses and cousins Kajol and Rani Mukerji came together on Saturday to celebrate their family’s annual Durga Puja in North Bombay. The festival began with the unveiling of the first look of theGoddess Durga idol at their family’s pandal. The celebration was also an emotional one, as Kajol, Rani and their sister Tanisha remembered Ayan Mukerji’s father, Deb Mukherjee, who passed away in March 2025.
Deb Mukherjee had been the heart of the family’s Durga Puja celebrations, organizing the pandal every year. Several photographs and videos from the event show the cousins
embracing each other and sharing heartfelt moments.Kajol was also seen giving a warm hug to Ayan before they posed for pictures together.The family dressed elegantly for the occasion. Kajol wore a traditional silk saree paired with a red blouse, while Rani looked graceful in a white saree featuring a black and red floral border. Ayan on the other hand, opted for a simple white kurta-pyjama keeping with the festive spirit.On the professional
front, Kajol is currently hosting Too Much With Kajol & Twinkle on Prime Video. The
first episode featured Salman Khan and Aamir Khan. Meanwhile, Rani Mukerji is
celebrating her first National Award for her role in Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway and will next be seen in Mardaani 3 which will be directed by Abhiraj Minawala.
