Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government today received the 2nd prize from the Union Health Ministry towards elimination of tuberculosis (TB).
The state has been ranked second in the country in efforts and contribution towards TB elimination. Dr Niranjan Mishra, Director, Public Health, Odisha and Dr PK Hota, State TB Officer, Odisha, received the award from Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan at the Dr Ambedkar International Auditorium, New Delhi.
A function was organised at the auditorium on the occasion of World Tuberculosis Day.
