87 Lakhs Received on First Phase Compensation for Crop Damage

Paralakhemundi,: For paddy & other vegetables crop damage due to low pressure & heavy rain,for first instalment Rs.87 lakhs sanctioned for Gajapati district.Unprecedented rain destroyed crops.For such
natural calamities farmers demanded compensation. Government on insurance basis taken compensation into account. More than 33 percent of loss of farmers list instructed by the Collector Gajapati.In the district in 651 hectors of land destroyed that report sent to state government. On such basis from natural disaster fund Rs. 87 lakh 84 thousands sanctioned.After sanctioned of compensation
farmers are happy. On such category more than 60000 farmers are in this district. Similarly in 25,255 hectors paddy cultivated. On low pressure & heavy rain 1920.2 hectors of land lost its crop. By the information with the administration 2500 farmers lost their crop which
