66th Commomeration Day of PN Autonomous College Celebrated

Khordha, : The 66th commemoration day of Prananath Autonomous College, Khordha has been held in the college premises on Tuesday. On this occasions, Speaker of Odisha Legislative Assembly, Mrs. Surama Padhi as the chief guest, MLA, Khordha, Prasanta Kumar Jagdev, Former Chief Secretary of Odisha, Gokul Chandra Pati, Former Vice-Chancellor NorthOdisha University, Maj. Khirod Prasad Mohanty, Eminent Journalist, Pradosh Pattnaik attend the event as guest of
honour. Principal of the college, Dr.Binodini Mishra presided over the event. IMD, Director General Dr. Mrutyunjaya Mohapatra was conferred with ” Prananath Samman ” & eminent Litterateur & Critics, Dr. Satrughana Pandab was awarded with ” Manjari Devi Sahitya Purskar”. In her speech Mrs.Padhi said that ” The idea of having a college at Khordha cherished in the minds of the local intelligentsia since 1955 could become a reality only on January28,1959.On account of the relentless struggle of LatePrananath Pattnaik and zealous associate’s. She advised the students to read well & keep the glory of the college intact and work hard until their dreams come true. “Prof. Suvendu Mohanty co-ordinated the program, while Dr. Binodini Mishra delivered the welcome spech & read out the annual memorandum of the college. The chief guest release
the college magazine ” Prateek” research journal ” Manjari” & college bulletin ” The Front Foot”. Former principal of the
college, retired lectures, staffs & best students & departmental toppers of this year were awarded. A two minutes silent
prayers was held for the untimely demise of Somanath Parida,+3 final year students of Electronics (Hons) department. At the end Vice-Principal, Dr. Pranab Kishore Mohanty gave vote of thanks.
