Srinagar, June 23 (Dumanimail) Weather improved across Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday after heavy rains over the past few days that caused flash floods across several regions and inundating many areas besides washing away several roads.
The Meteorological Department forecast fair weather in the first part of the day that will change to partly cloudy to cloudy towards late afternoon/evening.
A brief spell of light to moderate rain/thunderstorm cannot be ruled out at isolated places, the MeT said.
Overall there is no forecast of any major rainfall activity till June end, the MeT office added.
The water level in Jhelum river at Sangam and Ram Munshi Bagh has receded after it crossed the flood declaration mark on Wednesday.
