New Delhi : Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday greeted the National Security Guard (NSG) on the occasion of its 37th Raising Day.
In a tweet, Naidu wrote, “My greetings to National Security Guard personnel and their families on their 37th Raising Day today. NSG is synonymous with bravery and has distinguished itself as a highly skilled and specially-trained force to thwart all acts of terrorism. The Nation is proud of NSG!.”
The Home Minister also took to twitter to extend his greetings and said, “NSG is a world-class trained force to tackle all facets of terrorism.”
Shah said, “This formidable force has left no stone unturned to live up to its motto ‘Sarvatra Sarvottam Suraksha’ and the country is proud of NSG.”
The NSG is an elite counter-terrorism unit that deals with specific situations and exceptional cirucmstances to thwart serious acts of terrorsim.
