New Delhi : Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday greeted the people of Telangana on the occasion of the State’s Formation Day.
Mr Naidu took to twitter to extend his wishes.
“My greetings to the people of Telangana on their state formation day. Telangana is home to age-old traditions and is known for its rich history, diverse cultural heritage and architectural grandeur,” Mr Naidu tweeted.
“The state and its able people have contributed immensely towards the development of the nation.
My best wishes for the progress & prosperity of the state and the well being of its people,” he said in another tweet.
The PM also greeted the state on the occasion.
“Best wishes to the people of Telangana on the state’s Formation Day. The state is blessed with a unique culture and hardworking people who have excelled in many areas. Praying for the good health and well-being of the people of Telangana,” Mr Modi tweeted.
This year marks the seventh Telangana State Formation Day.
The State of Telangana was formed on June 2 in 2014 as the 29th State of the country after the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act was passed in Parliament.
