Lucknow : The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has recommended change of name of the Faizabad Junction railway station to Ayodhya Cantonment station on Saturday.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has decided to rename Faizabad Railway Junction as ‘Ayodhya Cantt’, the CM Office here has confirmed.
Sources said a proposal to change the name of the Faizabad railway station has been sent to the central government for issuing an official notification.
Earlier, UP government had changed the name of Mugalsarai station to Deen Dayal Upadhaya railway station and Allahabad Junction to Prayagraj junction.
