Lucknow : Uttar Pradesh government has again extended the weekend curfew by a week and now it will end on May 17 at 0700 hours.
Officials here on Sunday said that as per the direction of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath the weekend curfew which commenced on April 30, has been extended till May 17 morning.
The weekend curfew commenced on April 30 (Friday) at 2000 hrs till Tuesday, May 4 morning. But later it was extended twice and was scheduled to end tomorrow morning.
The move was made to break the chain of the Coronavirus in the state though the number of fresh cases was receding and the recovery rate was going up day by day.
However, during the Corona curfew emergency services would be exempted and people will be free to purchase household goods in a fixed time period.
