Paralakhemundi : A rare get together among transgenders of Paralakhemundi to celebrate Sabitri Amabashya. They honour their founder Guru on this ritual.
Being differently & isolated group and despite stigmatization, they still had a smile to gather for spiritual rites. Like an woman who has passionate respect for her husband so also these transgenders bowed before their esteemed educator who guide virtues & discipline.
They brought saree, bangles and various fruits such as banana, apple and others prayed like those wives. They said every year they perform such traditional rites which psychologically empower them.
