Tokyo : Shooters Manish Narwal and Singhraj Adana clinched gold and silver medal respectively for India in the men’s P4 mixed 50m pistol SH1 event at Tokyo Paralympics, here on Saturday.
The two shooters took the India’s tally to 15 medals in the ongoing Tokyo Paralympics.
The 19-year-old Narwal scored 218.2 in the final, a Paralympic record, to claim the gold metal.
Meanwhile, Adana, who had won the bronze in the P1 men’s 10m air pistol SH1 event on Tuesday, added a silver to his kitty after he scored 216.7 in the final.
Russian Olympic Committee’s Sergey Malyshev got the bronze with an score of 196.8.
Earlier, the two Indian shooters had a good show in the qualification round to reach the final. Adana progressed to the final in fourth place with a total of 536 while Narwal shot 533 to qualify at seventh.
Another Indian shooter, Akash failed to book the final berth as he finished 27th in the qualifying round.
