Telangana Blast: Rs 10 lakh ex-gratia for 8 workers killed

Bhubaneswar : Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Friday announced Rs 10 lakh
each for the families of 8 workers from Odisha, who died in a powerful explosion, which
triggered a fire at Sigachi pharmaceutical factory in Pashamylaram industrial area in
Sangareddy district of Telangana on Monday.The financial assistance to the deceased will be provided from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Additionally, a team of state
government officials is present at the accident site, monitoring the rescue and medical operations, a CMO release said. The deceased have been identified as Rajnala Jagan Mohan (55) of Chatrapur in Ganjam, LagnajeetDuari of Paikarapur in Cuttack’s Tigiria,
Manoj Rout of Parbatipur in Balasore’s Simulia, Dolagobinda Sahu of Erabanka in Jajpur’s Dharmasala, Chaita Bhadra and Ramesh Gauda of Nabarangpur, Siddharth Gouda ofMahanadapur in Ganjam and Prasant Mohapatra of Berhampur in Ganjam. On Wednesday, officer on special duty in the directorate of Odisha Parivaar, Pritish Panda
had informed that family members of four missing workers have already submitted their
samples for DNA identification and one more family will reach Sangareddy on Thursday to give their sample. Earlier, he had confirmed the death of Rajnala Jagan Mohan, LagnajeetDuari, Manoj Rout and Dolagobinda Sahu.Another four from the state are undergoing treatment at Pranaam and Druva hospitals in Telangana. Among them,
Samir Padhy (24), a machine operator from Ganjam, is battling for life with 35% burns.
The other three are Chandan Kumar Naik of Bhadrak, and NeelambarBatra and Chitrasen Batra of Nabarangpur and their condition is stated to be stable.
