Sonu Sood breaks silence over tax evasion allegation, says ‘My journey continues’

New Delhi : Bollywood actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood on Monday categorically said “every rupee” in his foundation was “awaiting its turn to save a precious life and reach the needy”.

Breaking his silence over allegation of tax evasion of Rs 20 crore and recent Income Tax raids, the ‘Dabangg’ star in a social media post wrote, “You don’t always have to tell your side of story. Time will”.

The actor, who has been providing assistance to the needy since the Covid-19 outbreak through his charitable trust, said that on many occasions he had encouraged brands to donate his “endorsement fees” for humanitarian causes too.

“I have been busy attending to a few guests hence was unable to be at your service for the last four days. I am back again in all humility at your humble service. My journey continues,” the 48-year-old actor further said.
