Sensex surges over 300 pts

Mumbai, July 7 (Dumani Mail) The BSE Sensex on Thursday spurted 380 points at 54,131.60 as buying was seen across the board. The Nifty too rose 125.45 points at 16,115.25. The Sensex registered days high and low at 54,249.74 and 53,980.74 respectively. The Nifty registered days high and low at 16,139.50 and 16,063.75 respectively.   The Mid Cap rose by 1 per cent and Small Cap by 1.22 per cent. In 30 scrips, 25 advanced while 5 declined.
The gainers were Titan by 6.22 per cent to Rs 2,138.60; M& M by 2.32 per cent to Rs 1,130.55; Asian Paints by 2.07 per cent to Rs 2,920.85; NTPC by 2.05 per cent to Rs 141.80 and IndusInd Bank by 1.69 per cent to Rs 850.70.
The losers were Bajaj Finserv by 0.94 per cent to Rs 11,931.90; Reliance Industries by 0.74 per cent to Rs 2,394 and Bajaj Finance by 0.53 per cent to Rs 5,886.25.
