Sensex rises over 50 points

Mumbai, Jun 30 (Dumanimail) The BSE Sensex on Thursday rose 59 points to 53,085.99 as buying was seen in Telecom, Utilities, Oil and Gas and Power stocks. The Nifty too moved up 22.55 points to 15,821.65. The Sensex registered the days high and low at 53,377.54 and 52,897.16 points respectively. The Nifty registered the days high and low at 15,890 and 15,769.95 points respectively. The Mid Cap fell 0.18 per cent and Small by 0.15 per cent. The gainers were Axis Bank by 1.51 per cent to Rs 635.25, SBI by 1.14 per cent to Rs 464.70, Maruti Suzuki by 0.98 per cent to Rs 8590.90 and Powergrid by 0.71 per cent to Rs 213.05. The losers were Tech Mahindra by 0.95 per cent to Rs 1011.25, Bajaj Finserv by 0.92 per cent to Rs 11,102.20, Bajaj finance by 0.78 per cent to Rs 5474.60 and M&M by 0.65 per cent to Rs 1103.80.
