Mumbai, June 23 (UNI) The BSE Sensex on Thursday smartly recovered 443.19 pts to close at 52,265.72 on the strength of Auto, Technology, IT and Telecom stocks.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too rose 143.35 pts at 15,556.65.
Sliding more than 700 pts, the Sensex opened at 51,972.75, rising 150 pts. During the session, it rallied 694 pts at 52,516.79, days high, before closing at 52,265.72, gaining 443.19 pts from its previous close.
The sensex registered days high and low at 52,516.79 and 51,632.85 pts respectively.
The Nifty recorded days high and low at 15,628.45 and 15,367.50 respectively.
The sectoral indices like Auto, Technology, IT and Telecom stocks pushed the market up.
