Mumbai: The BSE Sensex on Wednesday dropped 435.78 pts at 60,319.08 in opening trade, as almost all sectoral indices were in red.
The Nifty too slipped 136.90 pts at 17.,976.10.
The sensex registered days high and low at 60,870.17 and 60,194.94 pts respectively.
The Nifty registered days high and low at 18,129.20
and 17,950.25 pts respectively.
The Mid Cap eased 0.53 pc and Small Cap by 0.17 pc.
In 30 scrips, 6 advanced while 24 declined.
The losers were Asian Paints by 2.34 pc to Rs 3293.40, Ultracemco by 2.17 pc to Rs 7392, Kotak Bank by 1.01 pc to y 1907.32, Infosys by 1.69 pc to Rs 1,888.40 and Wipro by 1.48 pc to Rs 624.05.
The gainers were Tata Steel by 1.04 pc to Rs 1206.95, Dr Reddy’s Lab by 0.29 pc to Rs 4703.10, Reliance Industries by 0.19 pc to Rs 2525.70 and Powergrid by 0.07 pc to Rs 205.25.
